1. First four days on the new job went well. The people are very friendly and so many have offered assistance. On Monday the HR rep took me by the cafeteria on the way to Facilities to get my badge. She introduced me to the clerk. Today I went to the cafeteria for lunch for the first time. After not seeing me since Monday, the clerk came up and spoke to me by name! I was impressed.
2. The drive to work is doable. Road construction over the next few years may be a killer but I think there are multiple ways to get there.
3. Lots of nice e-mails, phone calls, texts, etc. from family and friends this week.
4. My nephew arrived at his international destination. What a great adventure he is on--excellent experience for his future.
