Hillary wins Texas and Ohio

I think it's good Hillary won last night. It makes watching the primary season much more interesting; after all, it's not as if it has lasted long enough. It's good for states like Pennsylvania and others that have late primary or caucuses to finally have a say in who the candidate is. But most importantly, let the Democrats spend their money fighting each other before the general election.

Hillary did a fantastic job coming back. Some in her own party were urging her just a couple of weeks ago to concede for the sake of party unity. Now she is back as a front-runner. What a great turn around!

Of course, both Hillary and Obama are claiming victory. One claims the popular vote and all the big states. The other claims the delegate count. Six more weeks for them to battle it out and try to convince their super delegates where to put their loyalty and vote. I think Pennsylvania, another rich delegate state is Hillary territory.

For the Republicans, a Hillary comeback is a double-edged sword. A protracted battle for the Democrats will continue to point out the weakness of each candidate which will be good fodder for the Republicans when they enter the general election. The downside is media attention will be focuses on the Democrats and it will become McCain who? unless he can find a way to inject himself in the media coverage.

This is truly an historic political year.

I hope it hurts due to the protracted battle, but I'd like to see her OUT.
