My Bible study group is in Genesis this year. These are some questions I and others had after looking at Genesis 3.
1. Was Eve surprised when an animal came to her and started talking?
2. What did the serpent look like?
3. Was Adam with Eve when the serpent talked to her and she took of the fruit?
4. In my discussion group the thought came up that Adam and Eve didn't ask God for forgiveness, but my question is How would they know about the concept of forgiveness to ask for it?
5. How long had Adam and Eve been in the garden when the serpent came to Eve?
6. Did all the animals talk before the Fall or was only the serpent capable of talk?
Any answers or other questions to add to the list?

From my mom who couldn't get these to post:
Only eternity will reveal the answers to your questions.
Adam was probably nearby when Eve fell because apparently Eve hadn't finished consuming the fruit (nobody knows if the fruit was an apple) before she offered some to Adam. As the leader, Adam was mighty weak and easily succumbed. Besides, he was responsible for his wife.
If guilt results in a contrite, repentant heart, is the word "Forgiveness" necessary if no other individual is involved? God understands heart language.
Had Adam and Eve been in the garden longer than a short time, Cain would have been conceived as a perfect individual and obviously he was far from that.
Did the serpent have legs at one time? Some think so but only God knows.
Question - was it really an apple that was eaten - or was it a Pomegranate?
