I know I haven't read a lot of classics so I want to do so. Several years ago I was visiting family in SC and my niece was reading Silas Marner. Since then it's been on my list to read. On Tuesday I checked it out at the library (had to do it in another local library as my town's library has the Cliff Notes but not the book--seriously!) and have tried to read a chapter each day. After three days I'm not sure how I'll get through it!
No doubt the problem is with me, but some of these classics are killing me!
Will it get better?

I loved listening to Uncle Tom's Cabin. The original. Wonder how it compares to Silas Marner. I'll have to check that out.
