Fathers

Over the weekend I watched a movie with a major message that the sins of the fathers are visited to their children. Throughout the weekend I've thought about it and real life situations I've seen that prove it.

1. A distracted and distant father produces children that cannot commit, show no respect, and look for love and attention from the wrong people, places, and things.
2. A father who makes bad life decisions produces children that make bad life decisions.
3. An angry father produces angry children.
4. A father who disrespects and dishonors his wife produces children who disrespect and dishonor their mother.

But. . .
1. A father who works to build a relationship with their children models God's love and desire for a relationship with His children.
2. A generous father produces generous children.
3. A father who works to earn his wife's and children's respect builds relationships that honor and respect him.
4. A hard working father produces hard working children.
